Hello everyone, transitioning from a direct die 9700K at 5.2 to 10900K seems unusual, but the upgrade was free. I’m aiming to extract more performance. To set the context, it’s an SP80 chip on a Z490 formula XII. The previous owner ran the AI OC at 5.2GHz, possibly causing some wear. Now I hope to hit around 5.2GHz with maybe 4.8GHz in the cache. Currently, I’m using LLC3 at 5.1GHz/4.7GHz plus a 0.185V offset on PLL1, and 1.2v on the Vcore. For LLC4, more voltage under load is needed, while LLC4 needs about +0.200V (320W) for stability. LLC3 needs roughly +0.185V at 260W to stay stable. My current profile sits near 1.296 and 1.305V under load in linpack x. It’s coolable up to around 330W, which looks like the thermal limit of the IHS on my AIO cold plate. That gives me some breathing room, though I’m unsure where voltage degradation starts from a silicon perspective. Also, SVID is at its best and ACADC is 0.01mH. Here are my questions: 1. Is OCCT small AVX2 really needed? It freezes completely when I run it above 330W. 2. Any tips to hit 5.2GHz? Specific settings? Should I use LLC or ACADC? 3. At what idle and load does the silicon start to fail? 4. How should I configure adaptive? I want Vcore to drop when idle and offset to stay stable during turbo, but adaptive is forcing me to pick a voltage and offset that doesn’t seem to help. 5. I know Vcore under load varies a lot, but based on this OC, do you think my chip is average?
