10900K core and ring clock design
I obtained the 8700K for benchmarking purposes, managed some USB driver issues but found a solution. Achieved upper 5GHz performance with LN2 and ran CPU tests around 6GHz. Tested various GPUs on a chilled water loop, getting 5.3-5.4GHz results. Still using it now. The system has XMP 4267, 4267 XMP b-die Maximus X Hero GTX 980 KPE SSD SATA hardware RAID 0, Antec CP series 1000W. I’m considering a 12400F Z690 Prime DDR4 with fast memory for better performance. A new M.2 slot and 3060 after the 4000-series models are trending. I’ll need a fresh PSU but plan to pay half upfront and the other half once the work is done in 4-6 weeks. After completion, I’ll check if there’s extra cash left. I’m also thinking about installing a new fence tomorrow with a $5.5K down payment and will have an 8-foot gate ready for my project cars. My wife will be thrilled!
Wood is costly. I had to install a new fence last year, which cost around $7,000. Plus, the wood was very dark, causing it to warp significantly.
I'm located in California, where prices are high and product standards can vary.
