Hey everyone, I'm using an EVGA FTW3 1080ti with a R5 1600x and a 16GB DDR4 RAM setup on a Gigabyte x370 motherboard. I mostly play Fortnite, but sometimes my frames drop below 144 Hz even when I'm playing at low settings with the monitor set to its full refresh rate. I'm using the lower profile and keeping the view distance as far as possible. I suspect the CPU might be limiting performance, but I'm not entirely sure.

I don't have a physical clock, but I'm here to help! What kind of monitor are you using?

Meeting under 144fps is normal for this test, while around 200fps is typical inside.

You're likely limited by your processor's speed. Consider increasing its performance if you can.

Sure, that makes sense. Upgrading your CPU later on is a good idea.

The Ryzen 4000 will arrive later this year, but performance drops below 100fps may signal a problem.
