1080p vs 720p
1080p vs 720p
I have a 32 inch TV and I'm checking if a 1080p low setting will give more frames per second in games compared to a 720p high setting. I'm currently using 720p high because my PC struggles with the higher resolution, and I'm maintaining around 50 to 60 fps. For the 720p quality, I set it not to scale on the Nvidia settings to avoid stretching, which results in black bars on all sides of the screen. If I switch to 1080p low, would that improve the FPS? I really don't want to drop below 50 fps and am fine with the black color in the middle of the screen after editing.
It depends on the game. I'd recommend giving it a try. Adjusting resolutions is straightforward.
Even though switching between screen sizes before each game isn't my preference, what would you prefer?
I suggest adjusting the resolution of the games you play to 1080p, observing how they appear and function, then choosing whether to maintain that setting or revert to 720p.
