My 5600X will arrive tomorrow. I purchased my setup during the Black Friday deals, but missed out on the CPU I wanted, so I went with my XT. It performs well—spools up to 4625 on 3 cores and 4475 on the other three independently. The price matched a 3600 model. It handles stress nicely. I'm still undecided: should I keep it for my son's build or sell it while I can get my money back? Coming from Intel, I could have built something impressive since everything was discounted. I'm glad I tried AMD again. What stood out most was the strength of AMD's 5xxx series CPUs on AM4 platforms. Wow! I used to be accustomed to a very high clock speed Intel chip. I wouldn't justify more than six cores unless it helps me push my epeen further, which is always nice. For now, I'll stick with the next CPU. I'd have gone for the 5800X but added extra RAM, a second M.2 slot... 6 cores are fine for now. I still need a GPU.
