1070 vs 1080 for my build?
1070 vs 1080 for my build?
My Gainward Phoenix GS (340€) operates smoothly at 1983 MHz without any overclocking and remains quiet all night.
Are you sure you are going to game on 2 monitors ?
it is very inconvenient.
for gaming, it is 1 or 3.
with two, you have bezel in the middle which is very annoying - especially in shooters.
so you kinda wasting your money
would you consider single 34" 3440x1440 monitor instead ?
a single GTX 1070 will be good for it, a GTX 1080 would be awesome.

Are you certain you're planning to use two monitors?
It's quite a hassle.
For gaming, one or three is enough.

That means you're probably wasting your money.
Would you think about using a single 34" 3440x1440 monitor instead?
A single GTX 1070 would work fine for it, and a GTX 1080 would be great.
I'm only going to use one for gaming, the other for extra space.
I know it doesn't make sense to get a 144Hz 1ms 27" for workspace, but I want them to match.
I also have a 60Hz 24" for my PS4 and it's connected to the PC for workspace.
So basically, it's kind of three monitors.
Well, since you obtained the 1440p@144Hz, you've effectively addressed your query. Only 1080p will be capable of driving it. But honestly, haven't you looked at the 34 UW monitors?
