Hello everyone,
I bought an Evga 1070 FTW but wasn’t satisfied with the outcomes after using this card. I’m uncertain if this brand is the optimal choice for overclocking. The GPU clock speeds drop significantly at +120, while the memory clock remains stable at +500. I’ve heard that using Pascal components can help, and I’m using an EVGA G2 power supply. My motherboard is an MSI B150I Gaming Pro AC, which seems to work fine at +50 GPU clock and +400 memory clock.

The main question is: which 1070 model delivers the best results? I’m particularly interested in the MSI Gaming X 8G. Also, there are many tips online about overclocking these cards, but I think you’re more reliable based on past experiences where you’ve assisted me.

In msi afterburner you have the option to increase both power and core voltage to their maximum settings. Core voltage reaches its limit at 100%, though it's unclear if that matters for performance, so I left it at full capacity. Then you can adjust the overclock settings.

When using msi afterburner, the memory capacity is doubled, which can lead to an actual RAM overclock of 800MHz. This matches the result I observed after overvolting, along with a 200MHz core clock (I only achieved 125core without overvolting, and around 434MHz RAM in msi afterburner). Check gpu-z; the memory performance is roughly a quarter of the actual speed. My cards are both ASUS Strix with identical speeds, so the overclocking is consistent between them.

My cards are both asus strix with the same speed so the oc is the same on both cards.
Is that picture with OC enabled? I was hoping to get around 2k GPU Clock, is that even possible with this kind of card?

It is activated and the boost really increases the cards above 2ghz during rendering of furmark, though it isn't steady—it usually stays around 1950mhz.
