I just received an MSI 1070 non-OC and decided to undervolt it to test power savings. While adjusting the voltage, I didn’t need to significantly change the clock speed to maintain stability. I managed to hit 2050mhz at 0.993v, but I stopped pushing further since it wasn’t appealing. My aim is to determine the lowest safe voltage before aiming for a 1800mhz boost. Anyone with similar experiences?
I’ve reached a transition point. I lowered the clock to 1885mhz and set the voltage to 0.881v, which caused the fan to cycle. You can view it in this image.

I just tested Furmark 2k@4xAA. With the fan set to 25%, it reached 58c in 5 minutes and 59c in 10 minutes.

Non gamingX?
Msi gtx 1070 gaming x, when under 60C shuts off fan due to zero frozor. You can also manually ajust fan speed if it's a diffrent issue.

It stops the fan, which is the problem. It starts at 62°C and turns off near 58°C. It keeps switching on and off, so I had to adjust it to 25% static.

It stops the fan, which is the problem. It turns on at 62°C and turns off around 58°C. It keeps switching on and off, so I had to adjust it to 25% static. This is the Zero Frozer technology from MSI in action. At 60°C the fans activate. If the temperature falls below 60°C, they shut off. The issue is just the quick drops and rises that prevent the fans from turning on at exactly 60°C. You can set a custom fan curve to keep the fans running if needed.
