Okay now I get it, and that's probably why you're getting all these problems. When you switch from an old CPU or old motherboard, you really need to reinstall Windows. If you don't do that, your old drivers won't work with the new parts, which causes a bunch of issues. Just wipe out Windows fresh. Download the latest version 2004, put it on a USB stick, and keep your license since it will still be valid. Then, install all the new motherboard drivers, the graphics card drivers, and any other stuff you need for this new setup.

Ok ill try it Yes i mean wd2 I just wanted to test a game before getting to do real overclocking test and it was the first game that came up to my mind lol idk why 😉

There are no issues here. The 10600K is really strong for playing games, though a brand new installation of both the processor and motherboard is important to avoid problems later on...

I just installed Windows and ran three overclocking tests. Here are my results: The first test with 3200MHz stock settings scored 3378 points at 74 degrees Celsius, the second used a multiplier of 1.32 to score 3673 points at 80 degrees Celsius, and the third reached 3812 points at 88 degrees Celsius with a multiplier of 1.32. Oh wow, 88 degrees is super hot! I won't reach that level while playing games because it's just too unstable for gaming use. Comet Lake chips generally run hot when overclocked anyway. I didn't touch the black cache settings so they are at stock speeds with xMP not enabled. Even though I set the frequency to 3200MHz, the timings stayed untouched after a fresh Windows 10 install. Do you have any tips that might help me get a stable 5GHz clock?

I just finished that task, but I left the LLC running on automatic and can't open any windows. The computer keeps crashing with a blue screen right after the Gigabyte logo appears. However, if I turn the power off and back on with auto-LLC enabled, I finally get to the Windows desktop.

Okay well that is much better. The 88C for your cooler seems about right. I have a Arctic Liquid Freezer II with a 360mm AIO, running at 5.1GHz across all cores at 1.295v. It just hits the low 80s, so you are in the right spot for the 240mm AIO you have. I would try again at 5GHz with a 1.320v and an LLC at Turbo and retest once more. If that works, lower the vcore to 1.300v and keep the LLC at Turbo, then retest.

i know it is a bit late but here is my results after a week of testing: after a week of testing, i saw that the system stayed stable at 4.9ghz, 1.32 volt, and high llc. it finished the c20 stress test, but if i tried using hwinfo or cpu-z or intel xtu while running c20, it would crash for me and its not stable at all. i turned it down to 4.8ghz, 1.29 volt, and normal llc, and now it is working properly when stressing on c20 and the pc is actually usable even when stressed on c20. saw a video from optimum tech and in that video he shows some tips on how to overclock the cpu and ram. he showed an option thats called 'long duration package power limit' and its the setting that caps the watts that the cpu is requesting. do you think that by setting the limit to unlimited i could get better results? and maybe even get a stable 4.9ghz or even 5ghz clock? the 10900k that he used was able to hold higher clocks with that setting changed to unlimited... i would really like to hear your opinion since you are pretty much the only one that really helped me here

I am sure you can get to 5GHz with a little extra work. When it comes to long duration package power limits, just turn them all the way up. However, if you try to overclock it, cooling becomes important. One thing I found might really help me out. Just recently saw Buildzoids new video on Actually Hardcore Overclocking from Gamers Nexus, and he has a Gigabyte Aourus Z490 Master with the exact same BIOS settings as ours. He tested the new Overide vCore setting which is a better adaptive version that actually works well. I tried it myself with my 5.1GHz overclock. I am testing right now and am fully stable at 1.3v in Overide vcore. Please make sure you keep your LLC in Standard mode... nothing higher when running Overide vCore. What is good is the voltage will drop down when there is no load, but it ramps up when needed. So go into BIOS, change multiplier to 49, switch to Overide Mode instead of Fixed Voltage, put in 1.300v with LLC set to Standard, remove power limits, and leave everything else on auto. See what happens if you try that. If the system is stable, drop the overide voltage down to 1.290v and try again to see if it stays stable or not. Then move on to getting 5GHz at 1.3v and if it isn't stable, go up a bit higher to 1.32v etc... The key part about setting the Overide voltage starts around 34 minutes and 24 seconds.
