Hello, I intend to upgrade the 1060 and run it with overclocking. I'm looking for solid overclock configurations that won't damage my system. Also, what temperature should I aim for while playing games like Black Ops 3, Witcher 3, Doom, etc.?

There is a maximum current before it gets too hot. It's not possible to make it stay cool without special firmware changes.

Yes, you can adjust all the settings to your preference. It won’t overheat when you stop playing, and you can simply turn off the OCR to reset it. Putting the PC into sleep is also a good option.

Yeah basically. The OC will fail and lock at stock settings until you reboot anyway, but temps arent going to be an issue unless its a faulty card. Manufacurers lock the voltage at a certain point to make sure of that.

Thanks a lot! Really nice person, I have to put in a lot of effort to get that $800 ultrabook, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
