Hi guys. I have an i5 7600k tower cooler deepcool, a system with 46 degrees celsius in the idle state, 16 gigabytes of ram running at 3200 mhz, a gtx 1050 with 2 gigabytes of video memory that stays around 50 degrees celsius when idle, and a thermaltake smart pro 850w gold power supply. Can someone recommend values for overclocking the gpu? i want to overclock the gpu

Hey there, I can't give you a specific way to enter because all chips and GPUs are different. But, you can follow a simple guide which will take about an hour to get what you want. Try this: https://www.google.com/search?q=how...e&...P_fKowA830 Let us know how you get on.

Is it OK if I tell my CPU how much power I want?

You can crank up the voltage, but sometimes too much is worse than not enough. It depends on what you set. The overclocking tool works pretty well if you check things out properly. Just run tests with Furmark or Kombuster to make sure everything looks okay. When testing, look for any weird glitches or errors. If you stick to a full guide, you'll get your card running at higher speeds in just one hour. Honestly, it's pretty simple once you know how to do it.

I tried those settings but the temp was normal at +200 and the benchmark crashed. At +150, I got a better score. When I went up to +170, the score went down and my frame rate minimum was 5 fps. So maybe +150 is okay for this situation. The voltage was +10% and I don't know if that changes anything or just defaults. Also, the clock speed went from +150 to +170 on the MSI screenshot.

You got it mostly right. 150 is quite good. Most cards aren't actually that fast. Is this just adding to the CPU speed, or does the memory (VRAM) get better too?

it was both. but then video says vram goes even further so i kept going so at the end : core clock +150 (155+ it kept crashing so i give up ) memory clock +1000 (idk why but it works fine) core voltage +30% (idk if it does thing but as long as temps are fine im not gonna touch it ) Fan auto (max speed was 45 and temps 60-65c ) benchmark

hey, by the way, just checked my XMP settings and CPU specs. it looks like my RAM is set for 1600 MHz, but my Task Manager shows it running at 3200 MHz. that's normal?
