The issue is that 3600 costs a lot in many areas and exceeds its value. When comparing the Ryzen 5 3600 at $289 versus the Ryzen 5 5600X at $279, opt for the latter even if it requires a new motherboard. The gap is significant.
It's accurate though, my budget is capped at $170 for upgrades.
Board can't confirm, but the AF is in my nephew's rig and performs well with the right funds. He also has the B450 Tomahawk.
