I'm considering switching from my ADSL to a 4G connection offering 100GB of data. I want to confirm if that amount will suffice for two people. Mostly we play online games and watch YouTube or download content for about 2 to 12 hours daily, depending on the day—other tasks use very little bandwidth. Once we hit the 100GB limit, we'll move to unlimited 3G. My main concerns are: Will 100GB of 4G provide enough data? Can I stream 10-minute YouTube videos in 720p without issues? How will latency affect online games like CS:GO or Battlefield 1—will it be similar to my current ADSL performance (50-80 ms)? And ideally, can we get under 100MB for 3G as well? Thanks ahead of time.

Well, 100GB for two isn't a lot, is it? I used to have a plan of 125GB per month and kept going over the limit. But I usually download and watch YouTube for long stretches. Online games don’t use that much data. Recently, I played about 25 hours of Battalion 1944 and it only used around 40 megabytes, while Insurgency consumed roughly 200 megabytes for three-quarters of an hour last month. So when it comes to gaming, you should be okay. YouTube is a bit tricky. I watch a few hours each day, and by the end of the month I was easily over 100GB, mainly from YouTube plus other browsing. But that’s 1080p YouTube and about three-quarters of an hour daily. If you try to keep usage low, it should be manageable. As for ping, I don’t have much info.

I watch a movie almost every day and spend 2-3 hours on YouTube, and my brother does the same. It seems like internet use is high, which might not be enough considering all the downloads and updates we have. If I exceed the limit, I get unlimited 3G, though it probably feels slow (check with me if you're right).

The speed feels quite limited; consider 200Gb if you can afford it.

I'm not sure if a 200GB choice exists in my area... most home plans cap at 50GB, but my business plan allows up to 100GB.

No, you cannot use two distinct 100GB plans simultaneously at the same address. Each plan must be assigned to a unique location.

It really matters. A film can reach about 500MB, especially when viewed at 480p for a two-hour movie. You might want to give it a shot and check what happens. However, I don’t believe it’s sufficient.

I don't believe it's feasible. I can merge two separate lines, but the advantages won't be significant—just a 200GB package for double the cost and the same speed as the 100GB plan. Also, the extra expense and the extra effort to manage both won't be worth it. All the content we watch is in 480-720p, yet I still doubt it will suffice...

Can someone confirm if it's possible to merge two separate networks into a single system using virtualization, similar to RAID?

I've looked into it before and understand you're trying to boost your ADSL speed without doubling it. You're not expecting a huge jump like from 24mbps to 48mbps, but you're hoping for a slight improvement. The frustration is real—your internet service provider demands too many details and insists on specific information, which is really annoying.
