Hello everyone, I just purchased a new PSU and wanted to connect it to my Dell OptiPlex. It comes with a 24-pin connector that matches the motherboard. I’m checking if this is safe—won’t it damage the board? Also, I’m replacing my case, so the PSU should fit the parts listed: PSU link and PC specs. If you’re new to this, feel free to ask for more details.

It’s unclear why 1000W is required for a 2600W device in an Optiplex setup. The power needs depend on the specific equipment and configuration.

A family acquaintance was organizing his son's space, and I was looking for a way to part with it.

It works as long as the mainboard connector matches (Dell usually uses a special connector).
