Hello. I've been experiencing a lot of frustration with my CPU while playing games. Usually, when I play Valorant, my CPU usage spikes to 100% every time. This leads to significant fluctuations in FPS, often reaching about 150. Based on my specs, I don’t think this is the performance I should be getting. I believe there might be some kind of CPU mining activity, so I tried reinstalling Windows (using the restore option to wipe everything). Still, I’m getting 100% CPU usage. Then I emptied my SSD and even tried booting from the hard drive without it connected, but nothing worked.

While gaming, my CPU temperature is around 75-80 degrees, so overheating doesn’t seem to be the issue. I have limited experience with PC hardware, and most online solutions haven’t helped. I’ve changed the energy preference settings... other things like that.

My PC hasn’t been this bad until recently. I’m not sure what caused it. Could anyone help me?

Sure, I can help with that. Running a user benchmark and providing a public link to the results would be useful for identifying reasons behind any underperformance. Let me know if you'd like me to proceed.

Have you confirmed all the drivers are installed? It's suggested to use Driver Booster.

What kind of drivers do you prefer? Honestly, I only installed a few, mostly NVDIA ones. My PC worked well before, so it’s hard to say if the problem is with the drivers.

Check the CPU temperature once more. It appears to be underperforming, likely due to a heat problem. If the temperatures are within normal range, consider resetting the BIOS to its default settings.
