Thanks to @Caroline and the team for your support in fixing this problem. We managed to reach a comfortable 30 degrees idle. It seems the issue was with the thermal paste spreading, so using the pea-sized amount Caroline recommended worked well now. Thanks for all the advice!
I'm not here to debate what I understand to be accurate or talk to anyone beyond the original poster. "Brands aren't involved here. Corsair and Deepcool both use OEM Asetek pumps, they just change the stock units with larger blocks, RGB options, and sometimes a higher price." I don’t have any color neons on my PC, and my AIO was around $100.00. I’m repeating what I already mentioned—it's the design that counts, even if built from the same components by the same team. Idle temps suggest a good cooling setup and properly configured fan settings.
Seven years for a first-gen model is a lot. It’s hard to keep up with what’s happening. People stop caring, and components like the GPU fans fail after just two years.
Arctic silver is quite old and not very useful anymore. It's similar to other high-end pastes like kpx, which will likely be replaced soon. Even top-tier options like MX4 are probably outdated now. People still list it because they think it was good quality back then, but it wasn't as effective as newer stuff. The silver in the name is probably just marketing fluff. Some older GPUs still use it, but it's not great for performance. If you spend a lot on such products, cooling solutions like air coolers might be better. Unless you're okay with poor temperatures, upgrading to something more modern would help. Your temps are probably mainly due to the paste, not the hardware itself.

The reason these older pastes persist is mainly due to branding and repeated recommendations, despite the fact that technology has advanced significantly over time. There’s a video comparing various pastes, showing that NTH2 easily surpasses AS5, which falls even further behind. It’s worse than MX4, and if AS5 had been cheaper, things might have been different—but it remains as costly as top-tier options like GC Extreme, Kryonaut, and NTH2.
I understand if you're upset about Noctua Hype Garbage Royalty. It seems some people are making exaggerated claims without proper testing. I was surprised by the results—only a 3C gain in 20 minutes, even though Arctic Silver wasn’t cured yet. This experience really highlighted how misleading some promotions can be.
