Usually when I try to shut down my PC, it closes everything and shows a black screen before returning to the desktop. This happens often, and it’s frustrating because I usually have to use the command prompt or the power button to stop it. Do you know if there’s a solution for this? Thanks!
Disable the fast boot and inspect. Right-click the Start menu—select Power Options, then choose "Choose what the power buttons do." Pick "Change settings that are currently unavailable." At the bottom, uncheck "Turn on fast startup" (recommended). Attempt to shut down; it should work. Let the system run for about three days. Then re-enable the option. It seems to resolve the issue. It's unusual, but it helped me.
