Previously, this Wi-Fi dongle functioned properly. On Mint and Zorin Terminal, you can add the PPA kelebek333/kablosuz using sudo apt-get update and then install rtl8192fu-dkms. I’m not sure if the repository is still active or has been removed. I have limited Linux experience, so it’s helpful to document the steps when issues arise.

The command doesn't exist in the PPA.
You can view the USB output by running `lsusb`.

The USB Wi-Fi adapter includes a hard drive with a Windows driver. I haven't used it, but that might be why the device is behaving oddly.

To get assistance, we need more details about the issue. Provide the output from your PPA/Install commands if they failed, or try the command mentioned.

You're wondering how to figure something out but don't know where to start.

The machine recognized the Wi-Fi device 002 as an 802.11n wlan adapter, but it wasn't showing up in any of the available options. Updated on November 28, 2025 by Apemanonline I struggle with spelling.

If you run those commands, the system will attempt to install or update a module named 8192fu. If it encounters issues, you can check the output of "rfkill" and "nmcli dev" to see what modules are available. The note indicates a possible module name mismatch.
