I work with several people but had to reinstall Windows from the beginning on my machine. Skype has been inconsistent ever since. I’m struggling to get a stable setup now. Could anyone here recommend a reliable VoIP program as a Skype alternative? If you need more details, I also use XSplit Broadcaster and Virtual Audio Cable for my podcasts. Thanks for any assistance!

Razer comms performed reasonably during its early testing phase. It hasn't been used recently, so it's unclear how it has improved.

VOIP stands out, while Teamspeak and Ventrilo offer strong alternatives.

I recommend checking platforms that offer both formats, such as YouTube or downloadable audio files.

Google Hangouts previously had client software, now it’s fully integrated into the browser. It offers smooth video calls with solid bandwidth and supports screen sharing. Multiple connections are possible. For HD video calls, a quad-core processor is recommended. I’ve tested most video chat apps, but none match Hangouts’ overall quality—Line (good sound, poor video), Viber (4:3 video, great audio), Skype (functioned well before Microsoft acquisition, but ads and poor performance remain).
