Hello. I’m considering purchasing an A2000 NVMe PCIe SSD. It functions on my PC, and I want to know if I can install Windows and boot from it.

It should work without issues, but you won't reach the advertised speeds since the M.2 interface supports only 10Gbps, which equals a maximum of 1.25GB/s.

Welcome to the forum! The performance isn't at its peak. Also, this SSD isn't ideal for NVMe. Think about upgrading your system later—get something else if you can. If not, it doesn't matter since the motherboard will be the main constraint. Where are you purchasing?

Your PC is quite outdated, likely around five years old. You're not planning to upgrade right now; instead, you're considering getting a new one. Your system has an Intel Core i5 4690 at 3.5GHz and 16 GB RAM (8 GB main + 2x4 GB extra). It runs the GTX 760 graphics card. You're looking to purchase this at a site called KOMPLETTE in Denmark.

Roger, it could be worthwhile investing a bit more for a quality NVMe drive that fully utilizes your new system. I’m not referring to top-of-the-range models but something like an A80. I’ll check their options. They don’t list the A80, though. This is consistently reliable. You can find more details here: https://www.komplett.dk/product/1095352/...1tb-m2-ssd. They also don’t offer much beyond 1TB, and the Samsung drives are quite expensive.

I'm running out of money, but I really need a fresh keyboard. I won't be buying a new computer for another couple of years. Thanks!

It should function properly. The issue isn't about speed, according to what it states.
