Z690 Specifications, Model 55, no storage found, issue appears during reboot
Z690 Specifications, Corsair Dominator 5600 CMT32GX5M2B5600C36W, 12.7k, I still have until the 14th of June to return it. I purchased the board from an Amazon warehouse for $580. It’s unclear if it was used or not. The key chain is missing, and some plastic wrap has been removed. Otherwise, it appeared new. I received code 55, but memory doesn’t always appear after a restart—usually it happens most of the time. All I need to do is switch off the power supply, turn it back on, and it works properly. I’ve been playing games, ran Memtest86 on the motherboard version, and it passed. It also ran Prime95 well. Furmark. Got any suggestions?
BIOS check? Often indicates minor issues in the early stages of a new system.
It seems the problem likely led to the item being returned for an open box. There are several possible causes: a damaged memory channel—try other slots to check; sometimes one A channel works while the other doesn’t, or vice versa; the A2 pin may be faulty while A1, B1, and B2 function normally; the BIOS might need updating; launch BIOS updates can be inconsistent; the CPU could have a pin issue, possibly bent or loose, which might affect booting; the RAM itself might be failing, especially if the retailer isn’t informed about bent pins. This could also relate to the RAM being on its last chance and not booting due to other factors.
It seems this board struggles with memory performance. Possible steps: A. Replace memory sticks in correct slots. B. Reassemble CPU and cooler carefully. C. Review BIOS training settings. D. Enable XMP and lower frequency to 5400. E. Wipe CMOS and flash BIOS. F. Retrieve BIOS using the disk (disconnect all drives, boot from storage).
