Z690 board paired with i7-13700k chip faces BIOS complications
Hi there, I just completed assembling all the parts for my computer... but when I first turned it on, it kept displaying the debug message 7f 00 55 00 and then looping again. The EZ debug indicator was flashing the CPU and flash DRAM. Here are the specifications: MSI MPG Z690 Carbon Wifi Intel i7-13700k Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32Gb (16Gb x 2) 5200MHz MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 4070Ti, powered by an Asus Thor 1000W PSU and a case from MSI Gungir 110r. I removed one RAM module and now the debug code shows 12, but the LED still stays on and the screen remains blank. Pressing delete didn’t help either. I downloaded the latest BIOS from MSI for the Z690 Carbon Wifi and copied it to a flash drive after formatting. At first, the flash drive showed errors, but now it works fine. The BIOS light flashed yesterday and we left it overnight. This morning it was still active. I suspect a hardware issue—possibly a blown PSU wire or a faulty motherboard. I’m worried something is damaged since the case had tight wiring and the hard drive was in the bottom slot. I can send a photo if you’d like, but I don’t know what to include. Edit: It turns out the motherboard failed completely, even with a 12th generation CPU. I had to return it and buy a new one. Edited March 12, 2023 by Pierre J. Accuse Solved issue
Hello, thank you for your message. We indeed changed the name to MSI.ROM and have tested two different USB connections. I've attached some photos of the current setup. The videos are larger than 20Mb, so they won't display the lights properly. They flash eight times, then after the ninth flash it stays on permanently.
