You can't modify the input sensor settings directly from the CPU. The options are limited to the board's firmware or specific hardware controls, not via software alone.

Review the available options in the Q-Fan menu inside the BIOS settings. The fan speeds may rely on CPU temperature readings. On my Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master, you can choose specific fans through a drop-down list, such as setting CPU_FAN, OPT_FAN, and CHA_FAN1 to match desired temperature thresholds. For example, CHA_FAN is regulated by the PCI-E X16 slot temperature.

My old Z390 Gigabyte board had everything, but this one seems to lack it—no hysteresis for the fans, they’ll jump up and down if I clock Chrome. Don’t forget ASUS!
