So... which i7 model? The 7700k? Remember, that's a CPU from six years ago. Intel wasn't really improving much back then. If we're talking about the 6700k, that's even older. A 3060 would work fine or something similar from AMD like the 6700xt. Anything more and you'd probably hit a performance ceiling. You might be able to get it up to 4060, but by then you'd be missing out on good performance because of the weaker CPU.
What's an i7? It's usually the 6700K or 7700K, but they're being outsold by much cheaper CPUs now. If you don't own one yet, think twice.
