Recently I purchased an Acer mid-end gaming laptop and considered upgrading the RAM. After checking CPU-Z, it listed DDR4-3200MHz memory. However, when looking at ark.intel.com, my CPU (i5-10300H) was shown as 2933MHz. Here are my questions: 1. Is it possible to install a 3200MHz RAM in the second slot without issues? 2. Should I opt for the more expensive 2933MHz model or the more affordable 3200MHz one? Thank you!

Avoid relying solely on Intel's website for memory speed details. Verify using Task Manager first, then cross-check with the label on your RAM module—it displays the actual speed. If your laptop has a separate module and the RAM isn't soldered, you can confirm the correct rate there.

The issue lies here: my laptop has 3200Mhz RAM, but Task Manager shows 2933Mhz. This discrepancy happens because the CPU memory type is listed as 2933Mhz. Check the specs and ensure everything matches. Pictures of Task Manager, CPU-Z, and the RAM confirm the details.

Yes, with a memory capacity of 3200 and a clock speed of 2933 MHz, you can safely add more 3200 MHz RAM.
