Recently I purchased the 7900 XT and most of the setup went smoothly, but last night I encountered issues while playing Shadow of War. The cutscene audio seemed very off timing. Initially I thought it was just a strange glitch typical for an older game, remembering that AMD drivers can sometimes have problems. Now I suspect there might be a more serious problem. While trying to play Cyberpunk, my computer suddenly crashed without any blue screen. My first thought was the power supply couldn't handle the load because of its age and likely insufficient wattage. However, checking the Event Viewer revealed an error: the AMDRyzenMasterDriverV22 service failed to start due to a missing file. This error appeared just before the crash, occurring three times. Scrolling through the logs showed this message only appeared when my PC crashed. I performed a full system reset right before installing the GPU and ensured all drivers were up to date. Anyone have any insight into what’s happening? My current specs are: XFX 7900 XT Ryzen 5 5600X, ROG Strix B450-F DDR4 32GB, 3200Mhz. If this is important, I’m using a dual monitor setup—one at 1080p and the other at 1440p.

This appears to be the main suspect from PSU.

It seems like you're dealing with a frustrating situation. You're unsure if your PSU is faulty, especially since you're trying to avoid disrupting your system. The fact that your HDDs are slow and prone to crashes adds to the concern. It's reasonable to think about whether the issue might be related to your storage devices rather than the power supply.

Just as a test, is there way to essentially underclock the GPU to a place that should make it never spike to a level that would upset my PSU? If there is this should tell me if its my PSU or something else without having to rip apart my system before I have to
