I've always liked watching YouTube videos on my iPad because I can search while watching another clip and easily save the one I want without missing anything. Obviously, opening a new tab wouldn't be as convenient. Also, YouTube on my mobile feels perfectly suited to touch screens, almost designed for each other. I believe the app works great for me. I rarely deal with the sub box problem since I find it much simpler to scroll and tap directly than to browse through many videos. Something about the computer version feels different to me. When searching for a specific channel in the left list, I have to check if it appears among the four currently showing; if not, I need to hover the mouse over more channels carefully until I reach the list or the whole list closes, then scroll down. That process doesn’t make much sense. Why shouldn't I just scroll or click to expand the list so more channels appear below the first four? Finally, although phones aren’t perfect, my iPad’s retina display, its portability, and its stand design make the mobile YouTube experience much more enjoyable for me. What do you think?
I’d prefer to use my 22-inch display for YouTube rather than the 4-inch one on my phone. Having a second screen also makes it work.
It varies based on the context. Computers usually offer optimal color quality and performance, though this isn't always practical. Occasionally they're better suited for specific tasks, or you prefer a tablet in certain places.
