On a friend's machine, certain YouTube sidebar links lead to ad sites unpredictably. Malwarebytes and AVG aren't detecting anything. This laptop runs an ASUS with an i5-5200u processor, and the most consistent outcome appears in Google Chrome. I have limited further information beyond that.

Set up AdBlock or UBlock, launch CCleaner, SpyBot Search And Destroy, and a portable version of MalwareBytes. Also, review the Extension menu.

On average, pop-ups appeared on techsupportcenter.co (the ad site). Malwarebytes took care of that issue, but the rest of the site is functioning properly.
