Are there any alternative desktop applications for YouTube? I’m not sure if Google offers one, but I’m open to third-party options. I really dislike the current interface and struggle with maintaining 60fps in Firefox. Wouldn’t it be better to find a more suitable desktop client instead of dealing with the site directly? If you have any suggestions or an add-on that helps, please let me know.

No, 60fps isn't exclusive to Chrome. It depends on the device and software you're using.

I enjoy exploring Reddit more in Firefox, as the tab management feels more suitable for me compared to Chrome. Apologies if I’m missing out on what my PC offers with Google. Changing to Chrome doesn’t significantly improve YouTube either, except for the 60fps issue.

It seems like the content might be formatted with HTML5 syntax. You may need to adjust the markup for proper rendering across browsers.

I prefer not to have a browser solely for YouTube. A dedicated desktop client would be much more useful.

I think there's an app for it in Win8. But it was broken last time I used it. No point for a desktop client when you have a browser that does the exact same thing...

It's true, missing that option is disappointing. I tend to rely more on YouTube on my iPad and Android devices than on the standard web browser.

Chrome maintains HTML5 support as much as feasible.
