I have a brand new setup with a Ryzen 3 3200G and 8GB of 3200MHz RAM. Occasionally, when using Chrome, the page lags or freezes, but refreshing resolves the issue. It usually occurs only a few times. Could this be related to my internet connection, browser problems, or YouTube? Or should I check if my drivers are up to date? The updates and security section shows everything is current, so it might be an internet or browser-related issue.
The lag occurs intermittently, about every 3-4 days, making it difficult to test across different browsers. However, refreshing the page resolves the issue. Previously, it was due to slow internet speeds. The current lag happened during rain, suggesting a possible internet speed problem.
Completely feasible. I occasionally face YouTube delays on my Android device, possibly due to network issues or the server. Also, could you tell me how you're connected—Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
I'm using an ethernet cable getting at around 70MBPS in good weather condition. I am using ethernet by connecting a ethernet cable to the wifi router. It's not a separate line for my pc. And we have atleast one other pc playing youtube videos from the same wifi router. So yeah a lot of pulling.
Your internet speed might decrease during rain while using an Ethernet connection.
It seems to be an issue with your ISP, though I'm skeptical they can fix it. On their side, stability might drop during rain, or it could be due to many people using the internet at home.
Rain might influence your ISP's performance. That concern remains with the ISP, so it's best to talk to them. About YT, does this occur with other platforms too? How does game play feel over the network during these periods?
From what I've observed, most aspects stay seamless, though sporadic slow internet connections can lead to noticeable delays in loading times.
In any case, the problem isn't related to your home network and likely stems from an issue on the ISP or Google's side.
