So, I have been enjoying playing CS lately, but I noticed that my FPS drops sometimes. Now, I recorded a little bit of gameplay and noticed that I don't have 144 FPS all the time. For some reason, it goes below 144, and it doesn't look as smooth as it should (of course, it will look worse, but it doesn't feel right). Also, I am not sure if with my specs I should be getting more or not. Here is the YouTube link. My specs: RX 6700 XT Ryzen 5 3600 16 gigs of RAM (I don't think the other components are needed; otherwise, let me know). ( https://youtu.be/Nz5vqpuXuI0 ) stil uploading
It should be included in the video settings within the game. A restart of the game may be needed for changes to take effect. I don’t have personal experience with CS2, so I can’t confirm its exact location.
I checked it and didn't use Vulkan directly, but I saw a video suggesting it. It's also mentioned that I'm using Vulkan mode in another game.
The best API for a game depends on optimization and the hardware you have. Generally, CS2 has been challenging in terms of performance, so experimenting with it is recommended. If problems persist after adjusting the API and settings, try another game to rule out Windows or hardware issues. I’d suggest Warframe—it’s free to play two people and runs smoothly on most systems. I’m also very familiar with its performance traits.
