Hi, your internet tests usually show speeds between 60 to 90 Mbps going down, but when you actually download files, you only reach up to 10 Mbps. That’s strange because it seems like the limit is at 10 Mbps. I know it’s not ideal, and it’s frustrating since you’re using both your PC and PS4. Also, downloading from either device slows down other devices on your network. I’m a bit confused about all this tech stuff, so please keep it simple. (I’m wired to my PC and PS4.) Also, the Steam download speed video doesn’t match what I expect.
Speedtest.net displays measurements in Mb, meaning Megabit. Steam shows results in MB, representing Megabyte. A byte equals 8 bits, so 1MB equals approximately 8Mb, or in your scenario it's about 77MB. The speeds you receive from Steam are slightly lower than those on Speedtest since your ISP may prioritize certain traffic, but they're still quite close. The figures are accurate, just expressed differently. (It's similar to one person saying "I have 100 pennies!" and another saying "I have 1 dollar!"—they convey the same idea using different units.)
It seems you're expressing surprise about something. Let me know how I can assist!
