You're missing the M.2 screw on your motherboard.
I placed an order for a motherboard on Amazon and it’s missing an M.2 screw. I’m unsure what to do—should I return it or purchase a replacement screw? My setup uses an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max M.2, so I want to make sure the screw fits. Please advise me. Thank you.
If it isn't present and hidden behind the cardboard, check the box inside for alternatives.
Hey there! Just starting out with this project for the first time, and I’m still getting the hang of ordering online. Let me know if you need help with that!
Secure the drive onto the board. This might provide a simple, inexpensive fix.
Yes, you must tighten it properly for it to function correctly.
As long as it's in the right place when you fasten it with a screw, it should work fine. Just keep an eye on the tape during the game so it doesn’t slip off—otherwise it could mess up your Windows install. You can get OEM keys for around 20 dollars online from sites like scdkey or similar places. Paying full price for a bad operating system isn’t worth it.
