All those voltages are excellent for his setup, including the motherboard, chip, and RAM. Applying them to yours might cause instability or excessive heat. Core 2 was the initial model to provide simpler connections, though you still had to put in the effort. I began with safe settings on the e6600, but after five seconds the board started smoking.

I have the identical model and quad 8400, just as he does. The details are nearly identical except for the DDR2 maker. I own a 4Gb Kingston KVR 800 6400, which is the main distinction.

And each part is unique, CPUs require slightly varying voltages, motherboards offer different voltages when under load. Before core 2.0 there was a lot of difficulty, you had to put in the effort and grasp what you were doing. Core 2 simplified things but didn't always ensure safety, i series provided much better protection. My setup should have been secure, but there was no warning or second chance—mobo failed. Be mindful of the risks before proceeding. If replacing your motherboard and CPU isn't an option, then reconsider.

Even the cooler models are the same, and that's a crucial detail for me. I'll be careful when applying the tips to my setup, but it looks like the advice is feasible above. Reaching 3.0 Ghz should be sufficient after some testing. Right now I'm working on replacing the 120 coolers inside the case to improve overall cooling. I plan to continue overclocking once my system is optimized. Thanks.

The cooler's model isn't crucial. You now have all the details needed for a well-informed decision.

Thank you, 13thmonkey, I have two more mobos for 775 of the same brand and model from an aftermarket source. The CPU is one of Core2Duo 7500, though it's too slow for MAFIA III and Wolfenstein: The New Collosus. Still trying to be careful. It looks like today finally achieved stable 3.0Ghz with core temperatures around 46 without load. I'm working on remaking my inside vents for a bigger model right now. Thanks for the advice, everyone. I have enough information and will try my best. Good luck all of you. I believe the problem is solved.
