You just enter and then the HQ or commander will typically assign you to a squad. From that point forward, the squad leader will explain your mission and you can ask any general questions you have. You’ll need to understand the fundamentals first, which are already covered in the main Arma 3 campaign. At first it might seem a bit confusing, but after a few missions you usually get the hang of things. When you join, you should pick a kit—basic options like rifleman or grenadier are recommended. AA or AT can be a bit unclear at the start.

Each set comes with unique gear such as medics needing around 30 kits or grenadiers requiring a grenade launcher you can grab from the ammo pack at the hanger, while the rifleman doesn’t need any special equipment. This applies specifically to the 77th JSOC, since I don’t play on Ahoy as frequently.
