The top choice would be a high-performance gaming router designed for large spaces, capable of handling many devices like TVs, FireSticks, and ensuring strong PS4 connectivity through solid coverage.

A budget plan and specific location would be useful. Unifi APs and a switch would be ideal, or a mesh configuration. Gaming routers won’t outperform a regular router—they only offer Quality of Service by default.

many details are required to give a solid suggestion about router placement, budget, and needs. What is your price range? Are strong connections available, and how big is your home? How much coverage do you need between rooms, especially during gaming? How many devices will be connected while playing? Why would a gaming router be better than a regular one? Is mesh networking an option? Do you want the technology to stay relevant with future standards or just reliable coverage? How sensitive are you to delays? Single-player games affect latency less than fast-paced multiplayer shooters. A top choice might look like this Amazon link, but it’s quite expensive for most budgets.

Your router has solid walls but contains the main gaming equipment inside the room.
