You're facing an issue upgrading your laptop's SSD. Let me know if you need further assistance!
I need your assistance. I own an XPS 13 9380 with a 256GB configuration, and I want to upgrade it. I upgraded to a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO. Using TODO EaseUS backup tools and an external HDD, I successfully cloned my current drive onto the new one. The system runs normally on the 970 EVO, but expanding the main C partition becomes tricky. The unallocated space around it is split into recovery and data partitions by Dell, so merging or expanding the C partition isn’t possible. When the 1TB drive starts up, the C partition expansion option disappears. If I remove the 1TB SSD and connect the 256GB drive, I can expand the C partition, but the SSD now shows as size N. It seems the two partitions can’t coexist because they’re clones of the same HDD. Trying to expand the N partition triggers a warning about insufficient space. After several attempts, booting from the external HDD with the 1TB drive plugged in didn’t work. Please help me set this up so I can move the factory drive to the larger one and expand the main partition for more storage.
Use MiniTool Partition Wizard to relocate the final partition and adjust its size. Windows Disk Management offers minimal capabilities.
