I constructed a PC for home server use to run several DayZ servers. The setup is complete, but I’m unsure about forwarding my router or configuring a remote desktop. Could someone guide me through this? Thanks!
Learn how to set up port forwarding on your router: https://store.linksys.com/support-articl...Num=270550. The IP address will point to the PC you're using as a server. For the ports DayZ requires, see: https://discourse.cubecoders.com/t/dayz-...xt=install the server.- Ports - DayZ uses (or As for remote desktop, use a tool like Parsec if you need access from outside your network. DO NOT try to port forward the Remote Desktop built into Windows out to the public Internet! That's just begging to get hacked.)
What are the odds of landing a Discord call where someone needs your cash app skills? I've been working through these steps for a while now, but I'm really struggling.
Sorry, I'm not in a position to handle that right now. If it doesn't work, renting a hosted game server might be a better option. The expense won't be significantly higher than the power costs of running your own computer as a server around the clock, and the host manages everything for you.
