They link the mobo to the case, but it won’t move. I’m not sure how to fix it.

Use the strong pliers and screwdriver to complete the task. Just make sure you don’t make any mistakes.

Use pliers or vise grips to hold the standoff, then remove the screw from the opposite side with a screwdriver. If the screw is damaged, consider cutting a groove in it or removing the head by drilling.

With the appropriate size wrench or socket, I would choose it over pliers.

You should eliminate them because a fresh motherboard comes with replacement standoffs.
