You're certain now that you've considered this. Running servers and gaming on the same machine with the allocated RAM would not have been feasible on an 8G connection on a Windows system. It was definitely possible at some point.

Yes, you can provide the CPU with a reseat or evaluate each stick separately.

I placed the CPU roughly three days ago, so it shouldn’t be an issue. I’m not sure if I should try anything else or just wait. I’ll check the memory sticks and reset the CMOS correctly, then give it a moment.

Consider refreshing your profile, the current version is 1.30 and 3.30 is the newest.

Performed the CMOS reset correctly with no adjustments. Removed a stick, it started working properly. The task manager indicated roughly 70MB was reserved. Turning it off, reinserting the stick restored the system to 8GB.

Sure, I'll do that. Let me know if you need anything else.

Completely different issue. Can't install the updated BIOS from USA or EU. I think the links are down. If I install it from China is it going to be in Chinese? http://tw.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat...=B450M-HDV

Initial updates had some instability issues... this might resolve them.

The original file comes from the China server, not the localized version.

I just made a BIOS update, but the Task Manager keeps showing me as throttled with 8G available. It’s odd since the BIOS now doesn’t mention anything about single-channel support. I’ll check the settings again to confirm my version differs.
