Hey everyone, just wanted to share my thoughts. I own an i5 6400 and plan to switch to a Ryzen 5 5600x. The main concern is updating the BIOS after getting the new CPU—especially since I don’t have an older model to work with. Is this really necessary? Can I upgrade without an older CPU? Also, are there any upcoming motherboards on the horizon? Thanks!

You can refresh without an older CPU if the board includes a BIOS flash button. If not, visit a local shop and they may be able to help at no cost or for a modest charge.

Sure, I can simplify that. You're asking about a motherboard with a BIOS flash feature. That means the board can update its firmware directly. If you need help with this, there are videos available that walk through the process step by step. Let me know if you'd like those links!

Like the X570 tomahawk, you won’t start from the BIOS. Simply insert the USB drive containing the update file, then press the designated button to flash the data.
