I have a 300mbps connection, but in games it runs smoothly without any problems. Recently on YouTube, I’m experiencing lag and buffering even at 720p. I’m unsure if the issue is with my network or my device, and I’m looking for guidance.

Hello! Here’s a revised version of your message:

Welcome to the forums. What browser are you using? Are you enabling adblock? Google is known to attempt various methods to block ads, and it's possible this behavior varies across different browsers. Have you disabled hardware rendering in your browser?

Check your connection type—WiFi or Ethernet—and the specific band used. If using WiFi, confirm the network provider. Have you attempted a restart of your network equipment starting with the ISP device?

Launch the Windows Task Manager, select Performance, then choose Wi-Fi. Determine how long the download remains active during a video load—typically around 10 to 30 seconds. On YouTube, go to Stats for Nerds and check the buffer status.
