When I open my desktop in Windows 11, it suddenly switches back to the lockscreen without any clear reason. I’m browsing the web with Chrome, but I don’t notice any consistent timing or pattern. I can enter my password and regain access, yet it still feels intrusive. Could there be some software causing this behavior?

Does the PC appear to be linked with a work domain, and is it automatically secured?

It's located in your home but isn't clearly labeled. It might have been set up by the software you installed.

It seems someone is trying to trick you by locking your screen while you're using it. The steps provided are for adjusting system settings to manage lock behavior.

I configured my machine independently and no one accessed it. I checked the area, but the system indicates that because it's in high performance mode, this option isn't modifiable.

Verify if the dynamic lock feature is activated. Navigate to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > Dynamic lock.

This occurred with me too, and it turned out to be my broken keyboard. How did I discover this? I disconnected all devices from my PC and then reconnected one by one. After plugging in my keyboard, the system returned to the lock screen. I replaced the keyboard, and it no longer triggered that behavior.

It wasn't turned on. I attempted to enable it and then turned it off to check if the problem was a bug with this function. Hope this helps, I wasn't aware of it before.

It occurred consistently each time you connected the keyboard, or it happened unpredictably.

Works best with Windows Hello Cam. It locks when you're out of range and activates immediately when the camera recognizes you again.
