I am using a Lenovo Yoga 7i laptop with an Intel i5 processor to ask you where I can find some log files. I don't want to have to reinstall everything until next year or later, but keep my important files and maybe some software installed. Even though this has reset me before, if I have backups, it is only a few times. Also, the USB-C port that gives power and data is plugged into my monitor at the same time charging the laptop a couple of times. When that happens, the screen resets like it disconnects and reconnects. Or maybe when I plug in another USB-C cord from the other port, one of those cords seems unreliable. So I used the other one from the same brand for the monitor.

Please update your post with full system hardware specs and OS info. Also, plug my USB-C port (for charging/data) into both the computer monitor AND the laptop at the same time to charge the laptop a couple of times. The screen resets like it disconnects then reconnects, or maybe when I plug another USB-C cable into the other port. Not sure what connections are making this happen. However, if the connections create a loop (like Device A connected to B, which connects back to A), then try turning any looping connection off and see if shutdowns stop.

The only thing that is acting up right now is the USB connection. I've already tried installing new drivers or just tried something else, so those aren't working either. Recently, I added a second Windows partition by doing a dual boot with another drive, but besides that change, everything else seems normal. Honestly, I'm not sure if the monitor disconnecting is related to this USB setup at all.

I could try finding a better USB cord or see if that fixes the issue, but honestly, that isn't the problem. My main worry is that my computer has shut down twice in the last few days. The power draw seems high right now because I plugged in a USB-C hub without extra power and also used my phone connected via another USB-C port at the same time. It sounds like it might be related to all of this, or maybe even just the monitor cable itself.

What if it's pulling too much power? Like, does the hub need more power than I thought? I already tried using my phone last time and it didn't fix anything. So now I'm pretty sure there is an issue with these cables and where they are connected.
