I have my modem on the opposite side of the house and a repeater outside. I can play games smoothly until it suddenly spikes and cuts off the internet. Is this problem with my modem or the repeater? Should I replace one of them, or is it due to interference or someone jamming my Wi-Fi?

check for obstacles such as solid walls, heavy barriers, or large appliances like refrigerators or air conditioners that might interfere with the signal

Based on past encounters, I faced an outdated modem that struggled to keep up. Parents experienced similar problems until I replaced it with an ASUS router, which became the primary connection point. The previous firmware was too restrictive for multiple Wi-Fi devices.
