My Asus F570zd is running a Ryzen 5 2500u with a GTX 1050 4GB and 8 GB RAM. My system stays updated on software, but gaming performance lags—FPS drops to 70-100 at low settings, even at 1080p. I notice unstable CPU speeds, jumping between 1.5 GHz and 3 GHz, plus frequent stutters. When the game freezes, GPU usage drops to zero. Stuttering seems worse early in matches. Both my integrated and dedicated GPU hit around 70°C during play, while CPU stays near 78-81°C. In It Takes Two, CPU consistently stays above 2.2 GHz with temps up to 86-87°C. I've reinstalled Valorant twice but it didn't help. Changed power plans didn't improve things much. Any suggestions?
Missed noting that MSI afterburner didn't display CPU temperature; instead, I checked hwinfo64. All other metrics in MSI afterburner align with those in hwinfo 64.

The issue lies with the RAM. It looks like you don’t have sufficient space. If your laptop supports adding more RAM, consider increasing it. Ryzen models often struggle with memory, making fast RAM essential for better performance.
Wow! I wasn't expecting you to find out I switched the thermal paste. It was about two months ago. With regular stock paste, my GPU temps stayed around 83-87 during games, while the CPU hit 90-95. After using Gelid GC Extreme paste, things improved a bit (as shown in the posts), but performance hasn't changed much.
You have the option to add another 8 GB of 2400 MHz RAM or opt for faster RAM that would likely be downclocked. Considering you already use Memreduct to free memory, expect around 80% utilization during playback. Adding more RAM should improve performance and help stabilize CPU clock speeds.
Close Chrome now before starting. Ensure you’re using the same RAM stick you currently have, just a different one.
