When launching valorant, it restricts your ability to adjust settings, displaying only a custom resolution option and leaving the monitor information blank.

Do you own a display that doesn’t fit the standard 16:9 size? I remember my old 1920 by 1200 monitor, and when it was in full screen you really had no choice but to stick to its original resolution. One thing that bothers me is why you’d want to alter the resolution at all.

I own an ASUS VG278Q with 16:9 display, currently set to fullscreen. Despite changing monitors for games, the settings remain unchanged, so it doesn’t appear to be related to the monitors.

I identified the issue—it seems Windows didn’t recognize my monitor, so I needed to take action. I came across an article that provided a solution.
