Hey, you might want to check the USB ports on your MoBo. The last two and the one on the far right seem different from the others.

This feature only serves to tighten the USB port slightly. It wouldn’t be noticeable unless you checked it closely.

It's not a standard pin, it's a metal spring similar to others, built to ensure the plug makes solid contact with the port by lifting it slightly. You have connectors from two different makers. There are four USB 3.0 ports stacked up in one brand X connector, each with a small metallic spring inside (except the bottom ones) to apply pressure for a stronger link. One brand Y connector merges two USB ports with an RJ45 and skips the spring entirely, likely due to tighter tolerances—only two ports mean they can guarantee a tighter fit, reducing movement inside and improving compatibility.
