You need to figure out how to stabilize it in the proper spot using paper or something similar. Alternatively, if you have soldering abilities and a dead USB cable (or you can purchase one), you can connect the right leads to create a new port on the drive. The simpler method is likely the better choice, even if you're not very skilled at soldering.
