Avoid buying a 3600mhz kit; the gap between 3466 and 3600 will be nearly invisible without a reference point. Even if you reduce it to 3200mhz due to instability, it won’t justify the cost.

Getting quicker RAM won't provide significant enough improvement for noticeable gains. Avoid spending your money on it.

It works well with a 5600X. Since it's just one CCD, it doesn't rely heavily on RAM speed like a 5900X would. Increasing the speed would only offer a small gain at most.

The variation in clock speed between 3600 and 3466 is under 4%, and the performance gap would be even smaller. Unless you frequently use your computer for benchmarking, it's not worthwhile. You're unlikely to detect the difference during a simple test.

If finances are limited, it's wise to appreciate what you already have. The range of 3466 to 3600 seems insignificant and doesn't warrant serious consideration.

It’s more responsive than a 5900X. 5900X can’t match the low latency of a 5600X. Perhaps turning off a CCD could help, but that would undermine the benefits of having a 59. Op. Your current latency is comparable to my 3600XT with c14 and offers faster performance. The fastest I’ve achieved in Windows is 49ns. 51-52ns is typical for me on a 5600X. Around 54ns is standard for me with a 5900. This feels a bit unfair since the 5900 runs at higher core clocks.

I didn’t mean to discuss latency limits or anything similar. What I was saying was simply that the 5600X doesn’t require as fast RAM as the 5900X.

Are you sure you require the latest RAM just for a slight boost in frames per second? My take. Did you see any real improvements in performance, and was it worth the investment compared to a 3200 MHz option?

You should check your RAM specifications for a 5600X. If it supports DDR4-3200 or faster, ensure your CPU and motherboard are compatible. Consider upgrading if your current RAM doesn't meet the required speed or capacity.
